The Apollo Group of
Hospitals had tied up with the Regional Weavers’ Union to set up a
Specialty hospital in 1996. The Regional Weavers’ Union has been a
historic cooperative supporting 10,000 families, of the local weavers.
The hospital was made in memory of the Late Haji Abdur Razzaque Ansari,
who was the visionary of the Weavers’ cooperative. Since, its
inception, the centre has progressed rapidly and added specialties in
keeping with the needs of the population of Jharkhand.
Open Heart Surgery is
being now routinely performed at this centre in a sophisticated
dedicated Operation theatre by a full-time team of super-specialists.
Numerous advanced operations, Coronary bypass operations and Valve
replacements have been done with a 100% successful outcome.
Post-operatively patients and managed in an Intensive therapy unit
which besides being fully equipped (Blood gas analysis, IABP, syringe
pumps, ventilators, high-end monitors) has round-the-clock intensives
doctors to care for the patients.
